The purpose of this thread is really just to put out some feelers for how many people in this community would be interested in tournaments and friendlies in the UK.

I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire, and intend to organise some friendly competition pretty soon after launch. Obviously, we don't know when that's going to be just yet, but as it could be soon I'd rather not leave it too late.

So, if you live in the UK and are interested in helping to establishing a scene that's more than just talk, let me know!

I don't live in the UK, but I'm down to play with y'all assuming that the online for this game will be better.

Random question, what's the UK like? I've always been curious since I'm a bit involved with fashion and I'm obsessed with European Drum and Bass Artists n' **** like that.

I'm not willing to travel major distances but I'm down for games and apparently we're in the same city.
Oh snap. We should definitely play. I'm semi-active with one ofthe University societies, so I should be able to get a room in their union for Smash/general gaming meets. If I organise anything, it'll be detailed in the OP, so keep checking back, I guess.

Haha, some of my best mates are D&B and breakcore artists. As for the UK, compared to the US it's pretty similar. No guns, less religion, way less wildlife, but mostly the same.

Nice!
I'd be up for pre-Smash 4 games too if you'd like but my Wii is temporarily unavailable so any console used would have to be yours. I favour Melee over Brawl btw.

Bah, I'm like a 2-3 hours drive away from Leeds, in Stockton-on-Tees. Too bad I can't drive. :/

Not much of a scene around here for Smash. Not one I know anyway.

I was gonna go to do a University course in Bradford, but the facilities there for my course were kinda outdated...

I'm not going to be organising anything until Smash 4 comes out; to be honest, I've lost interest in the previous games somewhat. You'll not be getting any Melee or Brawl tournaments out of me. I'm focussed on the Smash 4 scene.

Nearer release, I'll talk to some of my friends in the 2D-fighter community. They're always up for some Smash, so we should be able to get a reasonable tournament together.
