I came up with a chart showing which characters we can hit while grounded using U-smash.:GCCU:
Kill % isn't that important since this was done in training mode on Omega version of T&C

Most of these are pretty obvious but the ones that stood out to me are:
We can hit Falco, Pit, Dark Pit and Yoshi but NOT Charizard because his wings don't have hurtboxes.

I realize U-smash isn't our best option, but it kills so freaking early compared to the rest of our moves, that I think it's worth using at least for tech chases or as a hard punish. Frame 11 is not bad considering this isn't meant to be used as GTFO move and should be done out of a dash.

Thoughts?

Correct me if I'm wrong but when you get the double hit don't you get the side hit knock back and not the tipper?

im not sure what causes the tipper to lead into the double hit but from my experience, it's only possible at low to mid %. at high %, they only go straight up from the tipper.

Hm, after a little testing I see you are correct.

I got the double hit to work on Falco from 0-14%. This range most likely various quite a bit depending on the character.

Good find and it does 27% which isn't something to scuff at.

The real question though is when you would use this?

edit: it works 0-57% on Boswer
