The following is on a 3 platform stage like BF.

Ok so I really like my U-tilts (hard to DI out of and it's free damage on them).

I see my friend (best smasher in Calgary) use U-throw while on the second platform to throw them towards the third platform to continue comboing.

I really like to U-tilt until they are too high of a percentage for another one, and then I U-air, which hits them away from my back which is usually the direction my opponent is DI'ing during the U-tilts (if they DI towards when I U-air, I can just spike them).

If I want to get them onto the third platform to continue comboing should I just grab them and U-throw them so they move towards the top platform, or should I turn my back to the third platform on the last U-tilt and then U-air them towards the 3rd platform?

okay it's weird that you even use the term DI because you clearly have no understanding of it.

If you uthrow someone, they go straight up. So they'll only go towards the middle platform if they're DIing in. That is, if you uthrow someone and they hold in (towards the middle of the stage) they'll end up over the middle platform. So you can experiment with uthrow but it has no guarantee to get someone over the middle platform. in fact, people are getting good enough to not DI the throw and then DI the lasers to **** up your punishes.

Secondly I don't understand what situatino you are in that allows you to choose between uthrow and utilt. Please explain that better.

Third, multiple utilts aer NOT hard to DI out of and are thus, of course, not 'free damage.' If your opponents are letting you utilt them several times in a row, by all means, go for it, but against better competition youll find that people will generally DI, if not the first one, certainly the second. The only reason not to is if they suspect you are going to jump and bair them but that's fairly telegraphed so it's likely they'll react anyway.

fourth you act like you know how to combo starting from the top plat but not starting from the side plats which is extremely suspect.

tl;dr do you have any vids?

When you u-throw someone as Falco, they almost always fall forwards a bit, like PP always does into a shine or a flutter kick.

I do not have any recent videos that are a good representation of what I'm talking about, but maybe I can post one soon.

And yes, I am trying to combo to the top platform better, because top to side is easy, but side to top is harder.

EDIT: By the way, you're thinking of Fox, not Falco. Falco's u-throw WILL hit them forward with no DI. Easiest way to prove this is if you go to training mode, set the CPU to "Human", and u-throw them.

Secondly, a u-tilt a low percent is hard to DI out of. Even if they do, it still leads to combos whether they manage to fly away from your back or in front of you.
