I hope this is the right section to put this.
So I was playing Project: M, and I came up with an idea to upload my own Music/Textures for Brawl, because I recently came back to Brawl. Anyways, as the title says, I am trying to use the same method as the hackless method. Before I started I got some information from someone, and he said to delete all the codes. I hope I heard right from him, though. I delete the "codes" file completely, but now that I thought of it I probably should've looked inside because there is probably something I need for the textures. Anyways:
I got rid of some things I thought were just for the Project: M mechanics, added my own music, and a few stage textures. It didn't work. I booted it up through level editor, launched the game. It freezes when I go to level editor, and when I go to see if the music was changed, it wasn't. I know for sure I got the names right for the textures.
The guy even told me it's been done loads of times, but I'm not quite sure how to do it, and I didn't see any guides around the forums. (Not that I looked thoroughly, nobody got time for that)
Just wondering if anyone could help me with this, because I'm not sure if some of these things are necessary or not.
