Troubleshoot for Mupen64k crashing on Vista

Hi. I'm new here. I'm not sure if a solution was posted in this forums already but I thought it would be nice for me to post a topic on how to fix Mupen64k from crashing on Windows Vista. Some people who use Windows XP and 7 (in compatibility mode) can run games in Mupen64k fine without crashing, but others keep crashing when running games through Mupen64k on Vista. I went through so much trouble just to work this crap, so I thought I'd save everyone the trouble and post a solution here. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post links here so I'll just post the names of the DLLs.

The DLLs you need are: BMGlib.dll, RiceVideo.dll, RiceVideoDbg.dll

All of these DLLs goes inside your Mupen64k/Plugin folder. After that, run Mupen64k and go to 'Options> Settings' and change your video plugin to Rice's Video Plugin 6.1.1 beta 10. It should stop crashing now. I'm sorry if it doesn't work for anyone who tried this, but it worked for me.

I have friends who use Mupen64k on Windows 7 and they crash too but rarely (not as much as Vista users) because 7 has more compatibility options (7 users used Windows XP SP2/3, Vista SP 1/2).

Project64k works perfectly fine for me with a changed plugin, but my friends who use XP always gets desynched with me and they don't get full graphic (shield doesn't fully show, start lights are half transparent, game flickers, etc.).

this is my folder:
http://www.mediafire.com/?3fq9adq06mrxf4q

should work fine on any os.
it uses glide as default, but you can change the jabo3d7.dll.tmp to change it back to 3d8 plugin (just remove the .tmp and replace the other file).

also, considering your friend ds issues, are you sure he is not using full screen.
using full screen causes ds to occur everytime.

hope i helped you, if you want i could also make a folder without glide (and remove some of the leftover junk the piled there).

edit: i completely misread and missed the mupen part.
the full screen issue still applies though.
