So hey guys, let me tell you about my...issue. I have a gcc that works fine and has been used for a long time, but recently, it hasn't. So I start up smash wii u like normal the gcc works on the menus, I navigate to smash and start the game. When I start,I can't do a lot of things, I can only jump (with x/y) neutral special, and shield. Please help. Oh and I have checked, gcc works on PM I have tried.(UPDATE) I have tried my friends gcc and it works perfectly fine.

Have you tried recalibrating the controller? Press and hold X + Y + Start for three seconds. If that does not work, try plugging the adaptor into different USB ports (front of the console if you are currently using the back, or vice-versa.) If that does not resolve it, try plugging in only the black USB wire, leaving the gray one out (which is only needed for rumble support.)

Glad to hear it worked for you. I often had to recalibrate my GC controller in the Brawl era when the C-stick would only work in certain directions, especially after freshly hot-swapping a controller.

So the controllers is good now, but is there a way were I don't need to recalibrate it every time I boot up the game or plug it in? It's been annoying people when I go to tourneys.

Hey guys, I have an even bigger problem - my GC adapter stopped working at all. I tried several different USB ports, but it doesn't react to any inputs I make. Does anybody have suggestions on what I should do now?
