Trouble with internet connection?

So I'm posting this several hours after attempting to connect my new Wii U to the internet. I had to wait before making a post because it's difficult for me to type while trying to contain psychotic rage. My Wii U has decided to tell me to **** off. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I click on MY internet and type in MY password when asked for it and it just won't connect. Am I just that unlucky guy who will never get to play Smash against real people? Or have any of you guys had similar problems?

I'm hoping it's not just me and I can get some help. I literally almost threw my Wii U out the window earlier and I'd really like to avoid that.

Check in your Router settings for an Option to let other unknown devices have accses to the router and therefor to the internet.

I'm obviously too stupid to figure it out so I've given up for the day. I think if I keep trying today, I'll end up throwing either my Wii U or my computer (or both) out of my 2nd deck window.

Ok I think I managed to find the router settings, but I wasn't really sure what I was looking at. And I couldn't find the option that you were talking about.

Just test it. When someone visits you and wants to use your WLAN with his Mobile and cant get access, then you know where the problem lies.

Yeah the only option even close that I found was to "automatically connect to devices" but I think that's more for like printers and stuff. I tried turning that on, but it didn't do anything.

Have you tried run a LAN-cable from your router to your console? Do you have the LAN-adapter for the Wii U?

Your router doesnt care, if its a printer our your gaming-console that wants access to the WLAN. If you connected other WLAN devices in the past to your router without a problem, then there seems to be another issue.

Sounds stupid, but are you sure, your typing in the right password? Maybe you changed it lately?

Edit: Did you turn on WLAN in your router in the first place?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the right password. It's one of those ones they give you with all the letters and numbers. I tried it with all caps and all lower case, neither works :/

So have you added other devices in the past to your WLAN without a problem? And WLAN is turned on in your router?

Alright.

Sry, i dont know what you could do. Maybe look around in the Wii U settings for something or contact Nintendo support.
