I have a friend who plays Falco, and I like to go Fox against him. I'm inexperienced to Melee and am using arguably the hardest character to use in the game, and he's been playing for years, so he's familiar with DI and shine follow-ups with Falco (shine into any aerial attack) . Are there any guaranteed followups/combos Fox has off of certain moves? So far all I've figured out is up-throw, up-tilt, regrab, then repeat the sequence (if he DI's the upthrow, I grab him again), which sadly, I'm too reliant off of at the time, so I need a wider variety of combos with Fox. Any ideas? :/

I'm sure the Fox forums have Fox v Falco matchup data.

Just to add a little though I'd say Fox and Falco are a little harder to combo with Fox since they fall extremely fast. I can't normally pull off nair combos unless they were already in the air like from an up-tilt or a meaty nair. You might want to try and practice shine to jab. Use dash attack sparingly like for tech chases since that sets up stuff. In general get used to those up throws and up airs, you're gonna do em a lot.

It's not necessarily the best option, but something worth considering.

When up-throw -> uptilt combos are about to stop working, up-throw -> up-smash works, although there are better options in those situations, just giving you something to think about
