Hey guys I'm still fairly new to Falco and Melee in general, but I've been practicing a bit and I seem to have some trouble multi-shining. I feel like my fingers aren't moving quick enough from Y to B no matter how many times I try. The only way I can do it is if I keep my index finger on Y and thumb on B, but that obviously isn't ideal. Any tips on how you guys do it?

If you claw, do that. If not, put your thumb between b and y and mash back and forth.

It's mostly about the timing, go for double shines. Don't think of the motion as moving back and forth as fast as possible. Your main objective is to shine, then slide from X/Y to B. To do several multishines just repeat the motion, it's not B->X/Y, it's the other way around, remember that. Slide your thumb from X/Y to B, good luck!

I didn't practice it then smoked a bowl and now it's ez. seriously tho, don't practice multishines. eventually you'll truly be one with the bird and all tech will happen on command.

Honestly if you're new to the game you wont really need to know how to multishine yet. If you play against people your level then learning how to do shffl nair -> shine on shield will help you a lot. To answer your question, I slide my thumb between y and b. It takes practice and is awesome to show off but when you start playing against players that are a little better 2 shines on shield at a time is fine.
