Trouble doing consistent waveshining.

So I've gotten the pattern down of doing a shine and then wavedashing, but after that I'm too slow to do any other inputs. I saw a video on youtube saying I should try and waveshine to jab on practice mode, to get the rhythm down, and if I have the game will count it as two consecutive hits, but I can't really do that right either, so does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?

You're just not fast enough, practice your ass off and you'll get it.

you're going to have trouble, everyone will have a similar problem when they're first learning, keep at it and you'll get it eventually. you could just try just waveshining in place instead of in a direction, i found the hardest part to learn was getting the stick movement to be consistant enough that i get a shine and not a side b.

I'm currently having this problem, along with not moving the stick fast enough to do a smooth Wavedash. I'll probably be clear in a few weeks!
