Any tips on how to defeat such characters like Toon Link and Lucas? They're a lot harder to Fair and Nair unless they are above ground level. Usually I try the Dancing Swords attack if anything else.

Usually they are easier to attack on multilayered stages such as Battlefield but on flat ones like Final Destination, they seem to be a real pain.

Tilts are your greatest friends. If I'm not mistaken, all of the tilts can hit them with ease and build damage in the process, also they have great combos to go along with them. Since most small characters have low weight, you only need to build around 60%-80% for a SideSmash KO. Also, as you stated, sword dance is your friend.

Marth's main game is in the air, but against short ones you need to fight on the ground. They are also harder to hit in the air with FAir and NeutralAir, which gives more reason to stay on the floor.
