trouble against meta knight

I main ike obviously, but anyone got any tips against meta knight. he dodges all of my attacks and he WOPs me. There's never an opening. I tried to play defensive and hit him out of my shield but he just destroys me. Anyone got suggestions?

Mindgames, as always ;P. But in this case it'd probably be a complete overhaul mind-game wise, as in instead of going defensive go all out offensive. Meta-knights a light character and can rack up damage, but lacks an arsenal of killing moves. Therefore, you should go in for the kill asap and try to maneuver around his moves (Airdoge, >B, etc.) rather than just block them. Remember to use neutral A combo alot to make up for your lack of speed compared to Meta-knight. Aerials would probably work well too if you a m them right against his floating attacks.
