Tri wing screwdriver size for opening Gamecube Controller

Hi there. First things first, english is not my native language, so I may commit some mistakes.

So, I wanna play melee online. I already ordered a Mayflash Gamecube-to-PC USB adapter, and I also want to fix the Gamecube Controller I wanna use. Here in my Argentina, the only cheap tri wing I found's size is Y3. If I buy it, can I use it to open my Gamecube controllers?

Buy a 12 penny nail and file it. That's what I did lmao.

Put duct tape around it for a handle and you've got a tri-wing.

You actaully want a Size 0-1 Y tri-point screwdriver.

A tri-wing may fit if it's small enough, but I'd be careful.

You can also use a flat head screwdriver if it's small enough.

Thanks for the answers! I'll probably try to open it with a very small flat head screwdriver. Looks easier to obtain, compared with the other options.

I bought a screwdriver set with flat screwdrivers of 1.4mm, 2.0 mm, 2.4 mm and 3.0 mm. I'm trying the smaller ones, but I just can't unscrew. Are they too big?

You can always just buy a tri-wing screwdriver online and have it shipped. They are usually between 2 and 6 USD (not counting shipping).

Thing is, shipping to Argentina takes a lot of time. I ordered a Mayflash Gamecube-to-PC USB adapter 1 month ago (more exactly, 23th of January), and I'm still waiting for it. I may buy the Y3 triwing, it's really cheap.
