Trailers for secret newcomers?

We all know that newcomers get a trailer each so what will the secret newcomers get a trailer or not? I think before the battle begins it show a trailer that introduced them then you fight whoever was shown. What do you guys think?

I'm pretty sure secret characters will get trailers, and yeah that's how I see it going down too.

You'll probably unlock their trailer for viewing when you unlock the character. Either that or they're going to reveal every character before launch, unlockable or not.

I hope so! Each trailer has been lovingly crafted, exciting to watch, and true to the new character. I really hope they have an in-game feature to watch all the trailers and videos.

well when telling us all new comers have videos about them sakurai worded it in a way that sounded like theyd be viewable in game

I'm beginning to wonder how many secret characters there will be. If the ratio of unlocked-from-start/unlockable characters stays consistent, there may be a hefty handful of characters we won't know about until launch (and not just veterans, Wolf wasn't revealed until Brawl was out in Japan, for example). On the other hand, maybe they will do away with unlockable characters (certainly a radical change for the series, but not impossible).

Yep, I see it as instead of getting that alert when a newcomer is 'found' saying "Challenger Approaching!" we'll instead be greeted by a cinematic (video) just like we've seen with all newcomers so far. Then you fight them.

Kind of like how Blizzard uses cinematics to start or end a new chapter of a campaign.

Something like when you find Wolf in the subspace emissary, a cutscene appear of wolf very badass way and then you battle him in a regular brawl stage and you must beat him. That make smash more charming and awesome.

I could see it being an ordinary unlockable screen, then once after you beat them you get both the character and the reveal trailer.

You know what I think? I think the videos are rewards for clearing classic or something.

And that every character including veterans have them.. I bet I don't know what I'm talking about
