I can't believe that people would be willing to get a entire game and rip it apart into pieces. The Super Smash Bros. games are known for its innovation with cool items and killer stages, Tourney***s are so pathetic and have so little skill that they can barely dodge a smoke bomb. Isn't part of a game about mastering items and strategies so you can win against other players in a unfair way. That's the fun of a fighting game, I also understaand that you guys like to ban stages because they are "unfair". I kind of understand this since i hate the Donkey Kong stage in brawl, I hate it because its frustrating not because its unfair, both players can be hit, sometimes its a matter of luck, but the stage can be mastered just like any other.
Tourney***s rip out the fun of games, glad they made Fox suck and took out wavedashing. That's just Sakurai's and Nintendo's way to mess with you guys so you stop nerdalizing the game. If you guys claim you have skill, then you should have the skill to master stages and items, or to dodge them. There is no such a thing as unfair, skill is the only thing that matters during a game. (Exept if a character is cheap)
I hope for the next tournament you guys lossen up the rules and allow stages and items. :)
Nice title "Smash n00b" I could single handedly pwn you Turney***s in a complete match with items and stages using Ike.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha... you're funny.

as for your argument, i can absolutely guarantee you that a tournament player would more often than not smoke your *** with items on any stage. the skill of a tournament player would overwhelm your noobish mind regardless of stage or items. the reason these things are banned is because they add exactly what you said, luck.

banning items and certain stages allow the element of luck to be substantially lessened. this allows for a more balanced match where the one with more skill wins. not the one that happens to be standing next to where the assist trophies and pokeballs drop. however, i probably shouldnt have responded as you will not understand these points because you think the world should abide by your rules when, in fact, these rules have been agreed upon by the competitive smash community as the most balanced way to play competitive matches.

think about it for a second. all competitve things have rules. what if football players could use guns? then the team with the best guns would win. instead it is the team that has more skilled players, or just a flat out better team. each team must abide by the set rules put forth by whatever committee decides those things (unless you are the patriots). then, whoever is the better team that day wins the game mostly. this may be hard for you to understand as it is an extreme example, but the essence of it is correct.

basically what i'm saying is, first, shut up and stop whining. and second, you should do some thinking before you post rediculous things that are only going to get you flamed. if you dont like tourney's, then don't go to them you wiener. nobody is telling you how to play smash (unless you go to a tournament).

i hope your brain doesnt explode as it's noobish state may be somewhat shocked by logic... good day sir.

What in god's name is a "Tourney star star star" ???

Also, if you hate competitive play so badly, just don't enter tournaments? I mean, no one is forcing you to pay the entry fee and make the pot bigger for the competitive player that will mop the floor with your Sonic or Kirby... or Link.

Btw, how many fighting games are there with randomly spawning items...?

Your arguments make no sense. I suggest that if you want to make a rant that you at least put it in paragraph form... You are sounding like a 12 year old.

I have been to a lot of tournaments, but not the tournaments with your stupid rules.
Football players using guns is completly different, they'll kill each ohter, in brawl you can dodge items, its called air dodging if you didn't know.
Having items is perfectly fair, so are stages. In brawl a rookie can never beat a pro, its proven. Even if the rookie somehow manages to get the the Smash ball a bunch of times when it comes to hand to hand combat and items he will lose.
You guys are just making a good game suck, Super Smash Bros. would not be as fun without items, they bring a whole new level of strategy to the game. Without items the game would not be half as enjoyable you stupid troll.

Thank you Sakurai for making Fox suck and taking out Wavedashing.

You know why rookies can't beat pros?
Cause of the skill level difference. Like between me and you.
