Tournaments with both melee and project m

Which game should start at tournaments first?

As both a melee and project m tournament goer, I realized there is a huge problem with how tournaments are set up. I notice that most tournaments I have attended which only have those 2 smash games have done project m first. I think that melee should be first and then project m afterwards.
Pros:
- I may be the only one who thinks this (kappa) but project m is easier than melee (the controls are easier and the balancing is different) and transitioning from project m to melee makes me worse at melee. While I use pikachu in both games, both have similer playstyles, sometimes I forget that I can't up smash with the c stick or qac. If it was the reverse, there would be less frustration from melee players that lost a match because they played pm earlier.
-PM is kind of like a cool-down after playing melee. So after the melee tournament, the entrants could use that practice to get better at PM and make the game more hype.
-pm wouldn't be a liability for melee players that also want to play project M, after being done with melee, they can bring the full potential out of the characters that they like to use in project m.
-People who only have entered project M previously out of passing time before melee starts now don't have to force themselves to play a game they don't like. I am tired of hearing people saying, "oh it's PM, it doesn't really matter", or "I don't play PM, that's why I lost" Imagine if I entered a 64 tournament and lost, and I said, "oh, well I don't play 64" it just seems dumb that it's socially acceptable to enter a game you don't play and complain when you lose.
- Since melee is the one game many TO's seem to prioritize, getting melee out of the way can make it easier to avoid having melee cut short before the time that the TO's can rent the property out.
-(note: this is from personal experience) I notice people who's main game is PM tend to be more open to playing melee than melee-only players are to play PM, so chances are higher that a PM player would enter melee if it started first than vice versa, and it would be very embarrassing if a PM player complained about something in melee, such as saying that the game is too hard or something, so chances are that melee tournaments will get more entries without any complaints.
Cons:
-less entrants. If this actually becomes a big issue, then either PMDT needs to step up their game and make it better (which I can't really ask because I think they've done an incredible job already, what with roy taking over 700 hours to make) or as PM players, we need to get better and make the game more epic and hype with better gameplay and skill demonstration.
-Less hype: if melee is the main game that all the attendees are hyping about, then after melee is over, then the place where the tournament is held will be nearly empty, removing all the hype. Of course, if PM is the hype game because someone like professor pro is in the building, then this isn't an issue.

Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons, and I hope people realize that both melee and project M would be more fun and enjoyable if melee went at an earlier time. If you disagree, try not to start a flame war, or even think about starting a discussion between which game is better; I've seen too many discussions end up this way and it doesn't go anywhere. I only want discussion contributing to this post, so feel free to give a logical explanation to why project M should start first as opposed to my proposal.

Hmmm. Very interesting perspective, one that I agree with now that I'm thinking about the pros v cons. I'm new at this TO business, and the two smash tournaments I held started with PM first, simply for the reason that Melee raises more hype. There's also a lot more PM players at my tournaments but the Melee players are much better, so I like to let the PM mains play first while Melee mains practice, then when I announce Melee, the PM players get hype and watch, and some have gotten into Melee this way. But I like how you think, and maybe I'll switch around at this next tournament this Saturday. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks :) You comment also gave me another pro and con. The con of course, is that the melee players will be bored and leave while the PM players stay. However, this could add a pro. It's sad that a lot of PM players that attend your tournaments aren't very good; I think that's a serious issue as to why PM isn't taken seriously, so perhaps switching the tournaments around could get or force the PM players to play melee, and the melee players could teach the newcomers how to play the game better, learn more character match-ups and master more tech, and since PM is pretty similar in mechanics to melee, they could use that practice and advice to get better at PM and make the game more hype.
(note, I also edited the OP)
