I'm planning on holding a tournament in the future..... and I was wondering about some of the options I have, and how players might respond to them.
First off, my venue has a basement that includes a kitchen. So, my proprietor will cook food to sell for cheap. (Non-profit organization)
What is the best choice:
1. Don't worry about food.
2. Allow players to buy food.
3. Increase the Entrance fee to allow free food for all entrants through out the duration. (Probably a 2 day tournament)
Secondly, the place is huge. So, it can be used for housing. Players would need sleeping bags, but it would allow for players to play friendlies all night. Not drive home late etc. This would also include a free breakfast. However, I'd have to incur a charge to spend the night. (This money goes to venue to pay for holding tournament.)
Any thoughts on this?
