Tournament character?

I will be entering a tournament a week after the game comes out, and I was wondering, if anyone has the jpn version, arethere are any good and easy to learn characters for me to use.

Bowser is good and easy to learn.

Most characters from previous games are rather simple. Sheik's still a no-brainer to play, and vastly improved since Brawl. Or there's always Mario.

But since you'll have a week to play, that should give you a pretty good bit of time to practice with whoever you want. Assuming the tournament is run fairly (no JP version, since they'd have had the game for a month), remember that the most practice anyone else could have is a week plus a bit extra with the demo characters.

Yeah I was gonna have megaman as one of my mains, and then something that has a good time against characters with reflectors or other ways to stop my projectiles (link)
