this list is entirely subjective and involves nothing in the tierlist sets or metagame.
have you ever felt like some players on for glory are more fun and exciting to play against than others? sometimes people just rudely use the same move or combination of moves over and over again to force you into submission, rendering the match theirs without any kind of play involved by the other participant. this is a list that will hopefully avoid that issue. these are the characters i have the most fun fighting win or lose!
10. captain falcon
this guy is a classic troll character who, while sometimes infuriating, is ridiculously fun to fight these days. his no-projectile style and fair set of moves let him have some fair speed and a reliance on diverse moves, letting him feel like he's earning his victories more often than not.
9. kirby
the pink thunder. the squishy slammer. the AWWWWWWWEEEE. he simply has always kicked ass and uses everything in his arsenal against opponents. a powerhouse in an adorable package.
8. mega man
the hype train paid off with this super-duper projectile hell player that makes all us brawler mains have to duck and dodge more than ever. his weaker than average defenses accompanied by his nice speed and unique level of range make him QUITE a ride in a fight. he can make things go to hell for you or himself effortlessly.
7. shiek
the woman in gauze. she is what i like to call a "dancer". a "dancer" spends most of their time jumping around you than running towards you. shiek is the classic dancing brawler we all know and fear. she's always had a high tier and for good reason. she can take on just about anyone with her fun quick strikes and traps. not many fighters can leave you feeling like a ninja master than finally beating that shiek online.
6. pac-man
dude its pac man. come on. i don't know what else i have to say its ****ing PAC MAN. next.
5. marth/lucina
these 2 are clones who tell you that their player are an aspirer of quality. they want to be one of the best, most agile, most powerful, and most successful of their kind. they put up one hell of a fight no matter what, and it always feels honorable against these guys.
4. zero suit samus
dat booty! but seriously, she is another dancer with some of the most hypnotizing moves that rip through casual defenses like butter. she's a speedy demon with cheryl leg things that beat your brains in, but you keep coming back for more because she's so damned fun to fight! sometimes you just cant explain why! she just is!
3. yoshi
my main man. yosh. the all-move king of the herd. yoshi uses everything in his arsenal in just about every match. you will experience the yoshi when you go online. yoshi is a hard hitting, adorable dino that eats you all up. you could win against it, and you would still have been eaten by the end, i'm sure. good lord. how can you not laugh? he brings joy to any battle and that is why i choose him for this spot.

he is the hero of hyrule. he's got so many different ways of inflicting damage that can get through just about anything. there's always some way that a link can beat you, and it feels like the link mains out there really care about puzzle solving and finding holes in the strategy of the opponents. nothing quite feels like fighting a good link at 9pm at night after work.
1. greninja
ok, the reason i say greninja is my favorite is because he's so precise. if he is a few pixels off center, he is completely vulnerable. he is so hard to personally use that i find him a joy to defeat or be defeated by. greninja is just so fast, so niche, so carefully handled by professionals, and it deserves respect when it works. there is nothing like seeing a greninja using his full arsenal on your character in the middle of the night. i simply love fighting this frog and its magical theoretical movesets. i just love it.
