Toon Link or R.O.B?

I've been playing Toon Link ever since I first started playing PM. He was fun. He sorta still is. Then I found out R.O.B was really good.
I like both, sorta leaning toward R.O.B more. Should I make the switch over? Who has better matchups overall? Which one could teach a player ATs better?
