Too low to grab!

I was facing a Pikachu friend on Wifi earlier, and noticed pikachu can do a Fair + Grab or Nair+Grab. Normally I wouldn't consider it a combo because I could just shieldgrab, however, everytime I tried my grab missed and he grabbed me anyway! When Pikachu is on his landing lag animation, he is too low for a tall character (Samus, Gdorf) to grab.
How can I punish a Pikachu for pressuring my shield with aerials without using shield grabs?

Not sure about Samus, but I find that for Ganon, D Tilt can be quite painful for Pikachu. Try that out a bit.

Well, depending on the character and fastness of the move, you coud try upsmashing?

It really depends a lot on the character. But I would think most peoples D-tilt would be usefull.

Pika can DI or shield aswell... Or just Up B out of there with a QUACK. No grabbing pikachu for you sillys.

I use Olimar so I don't really have to worry about the size of a character for my grab XD

If you know he is going to be too low to grab just take advantage of the landing lag with a Dtilt or a Smash Attack or something.
