So I'm pretty new. Been lurking forever but finally made a profile a week or two ago.

I main Luigi and Roy in Melee, And Ike and Lucas in Brawl. Haven't gotten my hands on Project M yet, and never got to play Smash 64 enough to pick a main!

I've always been really intrigued with the competitive smash scene, even though I'm garbage competitively. I watch streams and youtube vids of competitive smash all the time. Its suuuhweet!

Anyways, I wanted to post a new thread asking people if they had to create a smash game dedicated to only a specific nintendo series, what characters do they think would make it if the roster sizes were those of the smash games?

For example: You first pick a nintendo gaming series. We will use Pokemon for example.

Then, the user makes a roster of pokemon they think would make for a great smash game using one of the roster sizes of the smash titles- 12 character roster for smash 64, 25 or 26 for Melee, and/or 35 or 39 for Brawl.

Unfortunately, I always see new members post something and they look like fools when someone lets them know there is already a thread for that... So I just wanted to post here and see if there was anything like that along with introducing myself I guess...???

As far as I know, no thread like that exists. There is a somewhat similar one, but none exactly like this. You should be fine making it. Or, if you want, I could make it and credit you for the idea. Then, you wouldn't look like a fool if it turns out it is too similar to an existing thread.

I would put it in the character discussion, but leave a note at the end asking the mods if it's in the right place, since I'm not positive. Or you could report it and say the reason for reporting "Not sure if in the right place", or something similar.

Hey kdubb. To follow up on what dimensionsword suggested, you could PM one of the Smah 4 Mods your thread idea and get their input first before posting in the event that you'd like to be cautious. If you're not sure who the any of the Smash 4 Mods are, just click the 'Members' tab at the top of the page, then click the 'Staff Members' tab to show a list of all members of the Staff and what areas they're in charge of.
