I think Tom Nook still have fighting chance to become playable character, because of two pictures. I meant it is possible that Tom Nook can become playable character with his original clothes.

I know it might be pointless or silly rambles but still, it has possibilities. Playable Character: Tom Nook would have that blue apron.

Beating a dead horse, it's pretty much common sense Tom Nook won't be playable. Maybe for the next game, but not for Brawl as he's pretty much in the background of Smashville like all of the other characters. Not only that, but his outfit changed greatly in between the two screenshots, showing that he's basically going to be part of the daily-life of the AC world that Smashville is based on.

I agree with this. I wanted Tom Nook playable myself. However, he's been deconfirmed.
