As we all know it can be used as a Meteor Smash

who else thinks that is cool? heh i do :)

but in ways when i think about it it will be somewhat cheap? who else agrees?

Is this the only thread about the Footstool Jump?

This is the update which has sparked my interest the most so far. It is an alteration in the basic techniques of the game rather than an addition of character, item, or stage.

At first when I saw this technique, I thought it could be a big deal. Every character has a MS? A seemingly easy one too...but after examining the pictures and thinking about the balance of the game, I think it'll have to be a very weak move.

Although I could also see this being an integral part of high level play, good in combos if it is weak.

Very interesting.

And it means that Bowser now has the means to meteor smash too!, I'm really happy about that.

Perhaps, if the jumping is high enough, you could use it in team battles to reach enemies that you just sent offscreen upwards, to finish them.

The question is, can I use this after my second jump, and how much does it propell me upwards? I'm assuming this could make potential for jump after jump after jump without landing.

I'm betting it has varying strength, with Kirby, Pit, etc, being weak, and Yoshi and Bower's being powerful. Basically based on a combination of jumping height and weight.

For some reason I saw this idea coming. I'm happy that now everyone has a MS.

I hope it's not like "I jumped on your head, so now you can't move for a while" type thing. That would be really annoying.

well according to the mario games, if you jump on their head, they are automatically dead. instant stock off.

Woot: an advanced technique that can actually be called that!

See, all you hardcore players are getting your share: you don't need physics abuses now, do you?
