Ladies and Gentlemen, its a wonderful time to be a Peach main. Behold! The Toad Edgeguard!

Its pretty simple, on characters that have an Up-B that hit as they go up, just float by the ledge and pull out toad to snuff their recovery. Then they die, and you win.

RISKS:
- If you use your double jump, you die. This is because you fall while toad shoots his spores, without a double jump you can't recover.
- If you miss the timing, you get stage spiked. This is more if you do it too late than early. Since you'll grab the ledge after a missed toad. There might still be a window to get hit after its done, but I haven't tested it.

Haven't tested all of em, but it should work on luigi, doc, mario, bowser, wario, DK, Diddy, Link, Toon link, samus, ZSS, metaknight, Kirby, Fox, falco, pikachu, charizard, ness, marth, ike, game and watch, lucina, wii fit trainer, shulk, and pac man

The best way to do it is to fast fall from the edge and hold jump quickly, then you gotta press B right out of float or you grab the edge. I don't have a problem with it because I have jump set on R, but if you don't you should probably be using the claw grip on a gamecube controller so you don't have to lift your finger from the jump button.

Ledge hogging may be gone, but this is arguably better since not everyone can do it, and we can. Happy Gimping err'body

Nice. I've been doing this to Ikes since Brawl. But I wouldn't jump off the ledge for it.

You can actually space yourself on the ledge so that those characters who have trouble sweet spotting the edge (Little Mac, Ike) will hit toad and you have no risk of suicide.

lol, no one ever thought to use him like this because it was never needed in other versions because of edge hogging.

... This is actually surprisingly effective. It's really easy against some characters (Bowser, Donkey Kong, Link). I'm gonna experiment more with this.

I am in love with the first video! And on top of it, you use my usual palette (Green Peach).

I'm a little skeptical to use this online because toad requires such precise timing, especially in a situation like the first video where everything happens so fast. If you had just the littlest bit of a lag, it could've been deadly. Even if there was no lag, I'm scared I would've be the tiniest bit off using toad. I suppose that just takes practice, though! This is definitely something a good Peach player should learn, so thanks for showing this!
