I've heard a lot of people in various places aroung the internet saying that Smash Bros. could never work on DS due to the lack of analog control. Well, this hands-on demo of Brawl tears apart their argument. Of all three of the guys playing Brawl, they all prefered the Wiimote only control scheme over the Classic Controller. They even pointed out that the Classic Controller scheme was identical to the Gamecube control scheme. The only problem they seemed to have was the odd placement of the shield button.
Now, you may be thinking, "What does this have to do with the DS?". Think about it. Not only was the one control scheme that lacked analog control the best control scheme (according to these guys), but the only problem with they had with it could easily be fixed for the DS with its easier to reach shoulder buttons. All the buttons could easily be mapped to the DS and played with relative ease.
On a slightly unrelated note, it's not like Nintendo is stupid and wouldn't refuse to put one of their most popular franchises on the DS, since it has larger cartriges and more capability for graphics than the N64.
If you guys see something wrong with my argument, or have comments, feel free to tell me.
