Gonna keep this one short.

OK so this is a rather unusual team I was using some time ago on WiFi and Shoddy, the focus of this team was to win using speed and priority moves and stuff like that to pick my opponent's mon off quickly, the team itself has seen great success (winning many tournaments for me, helping me climb the ladder blah blah blah) but know I think some aspects of the time can be improved on.

So by looking at the team now you will see that I have a glaring weakness to ground, this type of weakness is common on most teams I build, but with the way things are going at the moment, imo the oly thing that would cause me great frustration would be Dugtrio which is picked apart by Lucario's Bullet Punch, so no worries there.

Azelf @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Hasty (+Speed, - Defense)
EVs: 44 Attack | 212 Special Attack | 252 Speed

  • Psychic
  • Stealth Rock
  • Thunderbolt
  • Explosion
.......................
Comments & Suggestions:
So I start the game off with a customized Azelf lead which has been pretty reliable 90% of the time, as I don't want to make any mistakes/get screwed by some accuracy issues I went with Psychic over Fire Blast

When I get rocks down thanks to Azelf's speed I tend to save him for later in the game if I am having issues with fighting Pokemon like Machamp, thanks to Psychic Machamp should die in around 2 to 1 hits, Thunderbolt is exclusive for water and flying Pokemon giving me problems as well (doesn't happen most of the time)

I like saving Azelf for later when I am pretty sure all the moves that resist Explosion are gone as it gives me 3 KOs when played right.

The EVs are designed so that Explosion deals as much damage as possible when Azelf has had his run, Special Attack is not important to me and Max speed ensures that I get stealth Rock down as quickly as possible.

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Hasty (+Speed, - Defense)
EVs: 252 Attack | 4 Special Attack | 252 Speed

  • Mach Punch
  • Close Combat
  • Fire Blast/Flamethrower
  • Stone Edge
.......................
Comments & Suggestions:
We are at Infernape who forms part of the "priority" strategy I have been using, as you can see, I have customized this Infernape to be able to pick off threat when they are low at health thanks tot STAB Life Orb Mach Punch (which deals quite a bit) while being able to take down Gyarados and an un boosted Salamence with Stonde Edge if I am lucky.

The EVs and nature ensures that I have max speed also to help take care of things, I added 4 EVs in Sepcial Attack so it gives Flamethrower/Fire Blast more power and the rest goes in Attack to make his physical moves as strong as possible.

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Adamant (+Attack, - Special Attack)
EVs: 252 Attack | 4 Defense | 252 Speed

  • Bullet Punch
  • Close Combat
  • Extremespeed
  • Swords Dance
.......................
Comments & Suggestions:
This is what is known as a "double priority" Lucario which can sweep teams unprepaired (most teams expect Crunch/Ice punch/Stone Edge), Lucario is very effective in taking care of things mid game once he has an oppitunity to set up, Bullet Punch also addes to his unpredicatbilty as people tend to switch Gengar into him expecting Gar to out speed only to be met in the face with a nice boosted Pullet Punch.

The EVs are very generic, max attack and max speed are essential for me and Adamant nature gives Lucario as much power as he can muster, I am not bothered by the lack of speed because Lucario will be firing attakcs first anyways.

(I think Scizor would be better here than Lucario as he has pratically the same moves only that he has better attack (Tech Quick Attack same as ES imo).

Metagross @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Impish (+Defense, - Special Attack)
EVs: 252 HP | 112 Attack | 132 Defense | 8 Speed

  • Bullet Punch/Meteor Mash
  • Earthquake
  • Reflect
  • Explosion
.......................
Comments & Suggestions:
This set is kinda gimmicky but I swear it works, some of my members I frail, and Reflect kinda helps with that while adding defense to an already bulky attacker.

If I go with Bullet then Metagross contributes to my main strategy, but Meteor mash seems like the better move here as a power boost would help Explosion and Earthquake (also MM), coming up with the right choices was difficult as Metagross is support so Reflect can't go, neither can Explosion, meh I might go with MM.

Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Naughty (+Attack, - Special Defense)
EVs: 252 Attack | 80 Special Attack | 176 Speed

  • Outrage
  • U-Turn
  • Earthquake
  • Draco Meteor
.......................
Comments & Suggestions:
In the past I have always preferred Flygon over most Dragon Pokemon, but back in DP using Garchomp (I miss you) was just more logical, Garchomp had what Flygon had plus more (Sand Veil)

Now onto the set, with the given EVs and stuff, this helps a bit against Kingdra and Salamence, while max attack has its benefits with Stealth Rock down.

If things get a little too messy for me, Flygon can scores well need revenge kills on Gyarados, U-Turn helps with scouting, Outrage is my primary attacking move when things have cleared up and Earthquake helps with everything else.

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid (+ Speed, - Attack)
EVs: 4 HP | 252 Special Attack | 252 Speed

  • Surf
  • Recover
  • Psycho Shift
  • Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor
.......................
Comments & Suggestions:
So we are at the end and I present the Pokemon that helps my team against status, some status that would screw me over given like Burn and paralysis.

If you haven't already guess, Latias is my main status absorber for the team, throwing status back at the opponent (helps with victories), also she helps a bit on the offensive side taking care of weakened threats like Gliscor (?), the speed and bulk make her suited for this team, as it is already pretty fast and Reflect from Metagross further helps her kick butt.

Ahhh.... it's been a while since I've done a good ol' rmt.

Well, I'll edit this post later when I have more time but for now I'll just note that ghosts can wall the heck out of your team. And also if azelf goes down then a standard mixape is dangerous.
