Tips on how to land the footstool out of the Fair spike?

Hey Fox Mains, I have no issue doing the fair spike, but I always end up screwing up the footstool and instead just drift out of it and usually end up hitting them back up with Fire Fox. What are some tips on how to land the footstool?

I just mash the heck out of the jump button (Y) right after fair, and it works for me every time.

It depends on the character. Sometimes you don't need to footstool and you can just jump out of their way so you won't save them with up B. But I think you might not be falling far enough, and you might have to jump a little to the right, it doesn't work if you try jump straight up.

Somehow I keep landing the 5th hit of the fair. I've tried most things i think...FF Fair/ SHFF Fair / Fair -> FF/ SH Fair - FF.
