tips on how to improve punish game?

i have some pretty neat techskill as a falcon main, but i somtimes cant finish up matches only with people i am better than. any tips on how to improve? thx

When you have a free hit, you need to think several steps ahead. Ideally you want to orchestrate a combo that brings and edgeguard opportunity to the surface. With efficiency in mind, your decision making should be directly influenced by your position on stage, relative to platforms and the ledge. Efficiency usually means taking the route of getting him offstage that includes the least amount of guesswork. Uthrow fox/falco/falcon onto platform so you can techchase is a basic strat. Then practice edgeguarding.

Punishing starts when you have an opportunity to hurt an opponent when they make a mistake. Stay neutral to be able to act sooner on reaction to any mistake they make. It'll also help prevent you committing to attacks that'll whiff, meaning you'll get punished less often. However, by staying neutral, you're leaving yourself defenseless. If they attack you close enough, you will get hit. It's a delicate strategy
