Tips on Defeating Falco.

Sometimes I have a bit difficulty defeating falco. The reason behind this is because I found that DK's shield isn't very good, and Falco can get me into a lot of Drill shines and Pillars. If someone could help or give me tips on deafeating Falco that would be nice. ^_^. thanks.
