Tips on Becoming a Better Melee player?

Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone had any good tips on how to become better at Melee. I'm pretty new to the game since I could never get my hands on a GameCube as a kid. I just recently played it for the first time thanks to the Smash Club at my University. I'm not a complete Smash noob since I've played my fair share of Brawl and SSB4. I'm just wondering what I should do differently with Melee. Oh and the character I've played with the most so far in Melee is Jigglypuff if that helps with anything. Thanks for reading!
