Starting to pick up Falco as a secondary, mainly because I like how flashy he plays. However, I may main him if EVO 2015 has more Marth than Fox. Coming into the character as a mindgame and tech chase player, what should be the core fundamentals of a top level Falco?

Go to the dr.pp falco thread, lots of useful info. But quicly, its about stage control with lasers, spaced aerials, smart pressure, devastating comboes and swag. But its too broad of a question :v do some research, watch some vids, and practice.

Falco is all about rhythm and applying pressure. The cool thing about Falco lasers is that you can apply pressure from across the stage and even right in front of them. Forcing opponents to shield due to Falco's abundant ways of pressuring them gives you advantage. Tech-chasing and lasers in this way can be pretty much the same idea, just performed differently.

A combo I like to use near the edge is Shine<Jump<Dair. It spikes your opponent around 35-100%. Just stopping by and giving some advice! By the way, is your smashtag based off of a character from a show called One Piece?

I appreciate it! I actually can pillar pretty well right now, it's coming more fluid to me. As for your question regarding my tag, no xD. I used to dabble in One Piece back in the 4Kids days so maybe my mind just went to it. I just don't have the time to catch up with all 700+ episodes. I'm gonna stick with my Cowboy Bebop and other anime xD
