As the title says I'm new to Diddy Kong and planning to possibly second him in Project M and 3DS. I was wondering if you guys could help me out by linking me to videos of some of the better Diddy Kong players or at least tell me who too watch. I'd appreciate it too if you guys could give me some general advice on how to play Diddy, what are his worst matchups and what types of combos are guaranteed and what to try to avoid. I'll try to have some videos myself playing Diddy updated onto this video so you can help critique my game play. Plus I'd love to rock the DK crew.

Though they are kind of outdated, and many of the same players in the video go for better reads and options now. I would recommend either checking out the video thread or watching more recent Xanadu videos (Boss fundamental, Seagull Joe items, Junebug tech) starting off, then building a combo game when your general item foundation and movement options such as agt , b reverse, glide toss, wave dash, short hop nair , etc are consistent. With 3.5 and smash 4 looming, you won't too many responses on the forum.

Thank you for the reply. I was looking at the thread and noticed most videos to be a year or so old. That's why I wanted to ask in case there were more recent videos that were better.

Thank you for the reply as well. I will definitely practice those as some of those I have already down (SH-Nair & B-Reversal because of Donkey Kong). And also by AGT I assume you mean Aerial Glide Toss? Anyways thanks for the advice guys.

Don't know how much this will help, but at the very least, this should give some aerial mobility ideas and a higher combo game, aside that just copy paste what is seen on hi level videos. At this point can string everything together now with footstools so combo game is higher than the videos show, but this is a good place to start since it has varying character weight combos in there.
Important advice, if your bad at a m.u or don't know it, play safe and mad campy. You will notice that in a lot of matches, and it gives you time to see the other player's tendencies as well as what pm b.s is given to the other character.
