So I'm assuming you guys have heard of perfect pivoting, which is like wavedashing but for Smash 4. I can't seem to pull it off, anyone have any tips for learning how to?

The only advice I can give you is for your "flick-back," don't smash it all the way to the edge, try to "throw" it. So if you're perfect pivoting to the left, smash left hard and fast, and then flick it to the right, but let go around the neutral zone instead of bringing it all the way to the right. I've gotten much more consistent with this method and it avoids the issue of your character possibly turning back around from the rebound. And remember, if you do a standing dash, that's kind of good cause that means you're doing it too fast and you just have to slow down a frame from there!

I'd recommend practicing by going into training mode and turning down the speed since that will give you more time to input the turnaround. There are various tutorials that list the control stick movements do that shouldn't be a problem to figure out. Just keep practicing until you are able to do it consistently at that speed, then set it to normal and try inputting a little faster. It may take a while but you should get the hang of it. Practicing individually with this tech is the key to pulling it off.
