I'm sure everyone has heard the news by now. But until those 6 days pass by, I thought it would be a good idea to post some tips on the upcoming Brawl.

Tip #1
Have a Gamecube controller!

Tip #2
When the game comes out don’t go onto the internet. Unless you want to spoil the newcomers its best to stay away from it.

Tip #3
Forget about the tier list. It’s a whole new game, don’t expect Melee characters to be like Brawl. Most characters from Melee will have improvements. Of course you shouldn’t throw out all of your knowledge from Melee just yet.

Tip #4
Don’t wavedash, don’t even want to wavedash. If you’re more hyped up about some glitch rather than a brand new game then perhaps you shouldn’t even be playing it.

Tip #5
Have fun! Its been six years since the last release. Don’t worry about being the champion so soon, just sit back and have fun with Brawl when it’s out.

With the tips out of the way, now for my predictions of the most likely playable characters. Its overdone on this site, but I think an opinion is worth to read once in a while.

- All of the characters from Melee will return in Brawl. With the exception of Young Link, Dr. Mario, and Pichu. Roy, Falco, and Ganondorf will return but with a new moveset. Rumors about Ice Climber, Mewtwo and Mr. G&W being removed are probably untrue since those three are so unique in the game.

-Balloon Fighter and Mach Rider have a good chance for being in Brawl since their music was in Melee. Also Mach is very similar to C. Falcon so he probably was his original clone in Melee, but was later replaced by Ganon. BF was probably too complicated for Melee at the time. But their music did stay in the game. So who knows, they might make an appearance.

- King Dedede, King K. Rool, and Ridley have a chance since there is a lack of villains. As well as the lack of other Kirby, DK, and Metriod characters.

- Unless Sega wants to go bankrupt they probably will allow Brawl to add Sonic. Only Sonic though, I can’t see other Sega characters added to the list.

- Lastly, I have a feeling Zero Suit Samus will become her own character. She is just too unique. The developers probably said that Samus turns into Zero Samus to clear up some complications at the time. I think there will be a Samus and a Zero Suit Samus, but depending on the choice will determine what special changes them into the other character.

Don't jump, don't even want to jump. If you're more hyped up about some basic feature, rather than a brand new game then perhaps you shouldn't even be playing it.

I guess I'll just say this simply...

Wavedashing isn't a glitch, it's a law of the game physics.

And why would I not want to? - it's amazing.

But, interesting predictions nevertheless!

Sure, why not?

Tip #1

Mmhmm. Just remember it's POSSIBLE that it won't be an option, but I give it 50%- 75% odds that it will.

Tip #2
When the game comes out don’t go onto the internet. Unless you want to spoil the newcomers its best to stay away from it.
Really? I normally want to find out whose in it right away so I can unlock everyone and get to multiplayer.

Tip #3
Forget about the tier list. It’s a whole new game, don’t expect Melee characters to be like Brawl. Most characters from Melee will have improvements. Of course you shouldn’t throw out all of your knowledge from Melee just yet.
True, except that most characters from Melee will have improvements. Half of them will probably get nerfed.

Tip #4
Don’t wavedash, don’t even want to wavedash. If you’re more hyped up about some glitch rather than a brand new game then perhaps you shouldn’t even be playing it.
Shut up.

Tip #5
Have fun! Its been six years since the last release. Don’t worry about being the champion so soon, just sit back and have fun with Brawl when it’s out.
That's a good view to take, but not everyone will follow it. There will be angry n00bs and incredible champions within the day it comes out.

That all sounds pretty good, but I disagree about King K. Rool. That's it.

I disagree, I think Samus will turn into ZSS. I'll keep an open mind though, your take on it is definetly possible.

Yeah, about the whole wavedashing thing. There's a new feature that characters have that allows them to crawl. To wavedash you would have to tilt the control stick diagonally down right? To crawl you would have to tilt diagonally on the ground probably.

**Theres always the chance that instead of wavedashing, it will be replaced by an immediate crawl.**

But none the less, I have seen players way too often that only focus on wavedashing. They work so much on it that they lose the ability to make decent tactics and end up become a worse player. Its just something I have witnessed.

The first thing I look forward in this game is the new characters and levels. I have seen posts where people worry way too much about the reappearance of wavedashing.

All opinion of course. Just a little tip to tell.

The thing is, the wavedash provides that extra 'edge' to a player who is skillful. This feature is something that makes any game - good. You can play normally, and that's fine, or you can hone your skills and learn new techniques that are very difficult for newbs to perform or understand. I think it would be a great loss if wavedashing was removed. Also, it is the 'perfect exploit' as it were, in that it is in no way cheating or hacking. It is a simple manipulation of the game physics that calls for greater strategy or technique. It isn't easy to master, and the 'edge' it provides really isn't that overpowered either. AAAHHH I just hate the thought of it being gone...
