TIO Seeding question

my tourney will have ~30
i would like to separate friends, then seed by skill, and for about the 15 or so who don't have much tourney experience to assign a skill rating i would like to randomize.

the people who want to be separated from their friends will be assigned skill ratings.

anyone know the best way to go about this? or should i seed manually and try not to be biased when picking matchups.

Maybe try putting the friends in the same location and then just randomly clicking? (of course then you'll have to seed by location too)

Well, I think I'm too late to help you with your tournament, but I know how to solve this problem.

There's an option to seed by location. It's separate from the seeding by skill thing. Just put a location for each player under the 'entrants' section, and check the box under 'details' that says 'attempt to sort players by location'.
