I could imagine a pressure moment in a tourney match were link gets an FS and wins by the skin of his teeth via triforce slash. I could imagine the moment burned in my memory making it that much more epic.

Doing it at the very last second will give you slomo Final Smash. Though it won't help you much.

At the very least, I think Taunts should have a "sweet spot" where you can get more points from a bonus or something for pulling them off right as a KO occurs. For instance, Links TP sword flourish, your enemy perishing right as you sheath the sword. Perhaps it could be signified by Mario-style fireworks or crowd cheering or both.

Even MORE off topic: Did you notice none of the boxes in this demo were of the altered varieties shown in whimisical and fururistic types?

Now that you mention it, yeah. That is kind of weird. Maybe that becomes an option that you can turn on and off. I like the futuristic looking boxes, but I'm not a fan of the present ones that were shown on the Yoshi stage.

When time runs out, the match is over. I don't think it makes any difference what you're doing. If you're in the middle of a final smash, you'll see it go in slow-mo for about a second and then the game ends.
