Tilts vs. Specials

I've noticed that it takes a further tilted input from the circle pad to perform a special move versus a tilt move.

Basically every time I try Up-tilt to Up-B, the moves that happen are actually Up-tilt to N-B.

I know that all I need to do is further press up on the circle pad and everything would be fine, but I don't want Up-smash by accident. Does anyone else have problems with this?

I used to have a huge problem with that, but that was when I was playing the demo and about the first or second day of actual release. I guess it just takes a good amount of play experience to get over it. I recommend going into training and just practicing the move you're trying to do (up-tilt to up-b) until you start to feel really confident that you won't make a mistake in an actual match.

It's easy enough to do when you are standing or walking but when you are on the run you might as well do an up-smash because there is a delay before it will accept the up-tilt command (at least in toon links case)
