Tier Tournament - prepare yourself for the greatest smash tournament of the world?

First, sorry for my english, I'm not an english native speaker, but I hope you understand.

I was thinking, what if, like 1 month after brawls release, Smashboards organize a realy really massive smash tournament. A tournament that everyone will prepare to, with hundred players and big, big prize$.

I have an idea of how it could be done:

The tournament will be divided in two phases.

The first one will consist in 37 separed tournaments - one for each character (35 + Zamus + Sheik). 1 tourney for Link users, 1 for Marios...
The tournaments will have no limits of participants (but multiples of 2 of course) so everyone can join.
If we get like 8 participants for each character, then we'll have 298 players - but I aim for more.

Then the best 1~4 players of every character will be moved to phase 2. In this phase everyone will fight for points. Victory = 1 point, loss = 0.

So when everyone fought everyone (twice?) the best players will be rewarded with the money collected, and the community will get a very good source for our tier-debates.

I think it can be very fun and exciting not just to who's participing but to who's just watching, and very useful and all.
