As for the topic at hand, there will probably be some minor changes, but nothing particularly huge. People are saying "oh, there'll be a new character or two" that's highly unlikely, but even if there was we'd never be able to tell the difference. The three months extra are supposed to be there to work out kinks so that we don't end up having the Shenanigans Physics Engine (that's what my friends and I call it) that Melee relied on.

Seriously though, it won't be anything big, it will just be tweaking the stuff that needs to be made better that they realized they wouldn't be able to make perfect enough by December 3.

It will most likely be polishing up SSBB.

That, and game testing while waiting for February. Honestly, one of the reasons I think it isn't being released this year is because of Metroid/Galaxy being released in 2007.

Yeah, I can't see them doing any big changes between now and the 10th. Keep in mind also that Japan is getting it in January, meaning they have a little over 2 months of actual time.

I have a feeling they have it up to the point where everything content-wise is in the game or planned, and they just need to work out bugs, balance, blah blah. They know this is an epic game, and they can't screw it up.

Look at melee. Lots of holes under the surface.

In the extra 3 months, they probably wont add anything big, but lets say they do release it on the 3rd of december. Odds are, there will be more cloning, more glitches, areas that seem "meh, it looks like they just slapped this in here" and later when the game is cracked, theyll find a few missing stages that werent made, some neat animations that werent put in, and some minor features that werent implemented.

I think it will be tweaking and fixing. one glitch I know they will fix is the random max damage glitch. that looked like it got annoying at E for All. oh and I heard that this delay was to fix a bunch of problems with Wi-Fi, possibly eliminating lag.

The wierd thing is it still seemed like the effected character stayed on for a while longer before getting kicked off.

So that glitch will definately be fixed.
I'm hoping they add a Wii bit (get it, Wii?) more options to the Special Brawl, perhaps they're even thinking up more uses for Tourney mode, or making sure WiFi runs as smoothly as it did for Phantom Hourglass, above SMStrikersCharged's level.

Either way, they're probably just polishing their soon-to-be shiny trophy of a game.

P.S. Haha, WiFi Tourney mode would be awesome.
Probably would be time consuming though, unless the rule was 1 min. or 2-3 stock.
