This won't be like my last thread, I promise.
First off, I noticed that I wavedash more consistently in melee than in M. I understand dual trigger wavedashing isn't implemented but it almost seems easier in melee for some reason, idk almost like it requires less from me or the timing is more forgiving? idk how to describe it, but maybe I can press lighter on triggers in melee or something. any info or halp would be preciated.

Next I wanted to ask where I could get a decent gc controller from for cheap. I bought a GameStop brand last month and went through it like dollar store toilet paper. the poor thing can't properly transfer my hype into pixels anymore. if you bought one recently or know where I can get one that'd be great.

Lastly I wanted to ask the community what character you thought was the simplest to grasp.

That is all.

The difference for wavedashing is due to the fact that in Melee you leave the ground on the last frame of your jumpsquat, (for example Fox has a jumpsquat of 3, on frame 3 he's no longer on the ground), while in Project M you leave the ground the frame after the last frame of your jumpsquat (in P:M fox is no longer on the ground frame 4). Since you can't airdodge until you're actually off the ground there's a 1 frame difference in the timings.
Edit: Listen to Vigilante not me.

The best GC controllers tend to be official Nintendo ones. They're rather expensive new ($40+) and obviously used ones will vary in quality.

Framewise, the timing for wavedashing is exactly the same. The inputs are also exactly the same, that includes responsiveness. One potential thing however is that due to Brawl physics, you have one extra frame to react.

As for GC controllers, I ordered mine straight from Nintendo. Other than that, EBay might be your only bet.
