I understand that his terrible recovery is supposed to balance out to his amazing power and dominance on stage, but after playing him for a short while I do kinda feel that his recovery is a bit TOO terrible. you can beat little mac with ease with one back throw off stage and one fair and I don't think that's fair ( No pun intended ). However he can swat opponents about the stage very easilly and his up smash makes it incredibly simple to KO opponents due to it's speed and damage, the slightest charge on it and you can easilly KO opponents from around 60%+. This combined with his KO meter allows you to guarantee a 2 stock lead on your opponent quite early if you play well enough. In the hands of an unskilled player in my opinion he isn't worth much, They probably won't land a KO punch or it may be easilly knocked out of them, they may suicide by accident a few times due to that leaping punch (side Special) and would probably be easilly defeated off stage due to his terrible recovery. However I think higher skilled players may find it incredibly easy to dominate games by utilising his high speed and damage. I'm not amazing at the game but I did find his playstyle incredibly easy to outplay opponents with, he has amazing approach and the knockback on his moves if used properly allow him to create the breathing room he needs to maintain control over the stage. His playstyle is enjoyable as I feel it emulates a boxer quite well, You will find yourself dodging and and countering over aggressing opponents and punishing them with your devistating smash attacks, As well as flying into battle and applying incredible presure once they begin to fear your full KO meter. I think if he traveled just a little further with his Up and Side special attacks while in the air and when not making contact with an opponent he would be perfect, But I guess by perfect what I mean is broken and unstoppable LOL. Overall I feel he is really there to showcase the fun and chaos of the smash bros game, I would probably only use him for playing in 8 player brawls with friends to rack up kills or clearing challenges in other game modes, But due to his shortcomings not in any serious competitive matches, I do hope a little mac main comes along and uses him to his fullest potential though, I believe that would be a beautiful thing to see. A little mac master who knows how to keep himself grounded on stage and can handle his poor recovery better than most I feel could go a long way competitively.

What Hotenjin said. Little Mac can be really good. But you can't make mistakes, and a grab near the ledge can often lead to your demise.

They can make his recovery better, just lose some of the range, damage, speed, knockback and super armor on everything. Seems fair.

I think he's bad, scrubby and just gimmicky. No offense to anyone, while I hate how he was created one of the most satisfying things is hitting that KO Punch, even if I still think it's stupid that he gets meter for GETTING his ass handed to him. I would like to see it changed to only getting meter for dealing damage, and maybe he could gain more that way, but KO Punch isn't a problem. I despised it on the 3DS with the lag in FG people could actually hit it on me, but now on the Wii U there is very little lag and it's very easy to avoid/get rid of.

The second you get sent to offstage is often the second you lose a stock/lose the game. It´s pretty sad tbh. As Mac, you can´t go go aggressive on the enemy because that will most likely end in you getting thrown to the edge, you gotta play like a real boxer. Opportunistic. Strike when you get the chance. Few good hits should do the job.

Little Mac is fine how he is. Buffing his recovery and nerfing his strengths would just make him into Mii Brawler. He isn't top tier, and he isn't bottom tier, so obviously he has a good balance. Why overhaul his design and take away his unique characteristics for literally nothing? 377
