I got this from another forum, but oh manz, this got me worried:

"This is a fair warning to everyone who plans on importing Smash Bros. X to try playing it in a modded U.S. Wii; You will not be able to load the game without getting past the disc's Update. The update on the japanese game disc is not compatible with a U.S. Wii. When it'll flash the memory, your Wii will stop functionning altogether (completely or partially).

If your Wii is a japanese one, you don't have to worry about anything except Wi-Fi play. Unless you're in stealth mode (WiiKey mod-chip option), you wont be able to connect to Wi-Fi play and your wii may be tracked.

You may lookup similar problems when Mario Strikers came out."

Legit? Or just trying to scare us.
(I mean, I know a random person on a forum isnt exactly a reliable source but... still, I got scared)

I think these issues were already known by most people it would have been relevant to, and there are already work arounds. In a worst case scenario, it may take 1-2 more days to get new fixes out.
