Uhmmm and honestly I think that's okay. As long as there is longer hitstun and good combo oppurtunities.

Brawl was not really a bad game, it just had some issues. Melee also had its share of issues, as did 64. I think the best approach is to make a game that combines the best of Melee and Brawl, with 64 added in.

Like Ive said Brawl is an easier game to follow than Melee, and 64 is a better fighter than either of them, and as long as there arent any characters that can easily juggle a player like Meta-Knight the pace of the game should be both challenging and simple.

Looks same as brawl to me.
The lack of tripping does seem to give the illusion of speed though.
Don't worry, I'm sure there will be a speed setting like in melee and brawl if ya want it faster.

I agree, it does. I don't mind, I love Brawl, and pretty much everyone here wanted faster game play and no tripping. I think it will be the best Smash yet.

Judging from the gameplay footage we've seen thus far, the speed looks like a slightly faster Brawl. I suppose it could be the current build of the game, not the final product. I'm keeping Sakurai's promise of the gameplay being between Brawl and Melee though. Suppose I won't know till I play the game for myself.

If it does end up leaning more towards the Brawl end, I honestly wouldn't mind. Brawl was a great game and its pace was pretty accessible for people of any skill level. It just needs a little of that Melee 'oomph' and we'll be good.
