In SSBM there were not enough things to unlock in my opinion, there were like 11 characters to unlock, almost 5 stages, and a bunch of trophies that really don't do much.

In Brawl not only should they have unlockable characters and stages and trophies, not forgetting stickers, but better things. I think that unlockable costumes should be in it, it could be clones from the last game that become simple alt costumes. Also, unlockable things such as history. This could include classic costumes so the Smash 64 version of characters could play on totally new fields. The entire version of Super Smash Bros 64 could become unlockable.

Modes could also become unlockable, things such as Metal Mode, or 8-bit mode, things of that nature. Maybe even extra story archs for The SE. Basically I just want this game to take a long time to unlock the good stuff

Jag förstår inte. Vad sa du?
Don't worry...it will. With all the extra time Sakurai had, I'd be disappointed if he gave us subpar unlockables *runs hand along knife*...yeah, REAL disappointed

EDIT: I agree with Goopy (I assumed I'd be the first post, but NOOO). 8-Bit mode would be AWESOME!! And what do you mean by boss rush? Call me stupid, but I'm confused...

What really sucks is I unlocked a stage on my friends game that I was NEVER able to unlock on mine...I still don't have it to this day

'Boss Rush' is a mode on various games where you do nothing but fight all of the bosses of that game in succession. In this case, it would be the Subspace bosses.
Well considering it's made by the creator of Kirby...

and they included that in his last couple games...

Yeah, I see that as a possibility

Really? Which one is it?

I have to agree, though. Some more unlockables would be awesome. 8 Bit mode, I don't know about that, though. There's no such thing as 8 Bit Ike and Diddy, am I correct?

OMG, how could I forget that!?! Thanks, Goopy! Now that I know what you're talking about, I can say that a boss rush would be a great idea!

Really? The easiest way to do it is to use Yoshi, you "hop" (you know, not jumping his highest.), and use Down A, if you do it like four times (I think that's the number.), the sandbag's percentage should be high enough to hit past the distance that is needed to unlock Yoshi's Island 64.

First of all it was eleven stages and almost 300 trophies in Melee, that's not shabby, especially if you think about it, it was hard to get them. Now I somewhat agree with more unlockables, the developers should just make it a bit less frustrating ^^; Then it would be great.
And 8-bit-Mode? D*** right! That's a terrific idea, reminds me of this:

yeah but nowadays when I'm bored, I play Melee and re-unlock all the characters, which I can now do in less than a day because they were all quite easy to unlock. However back in the 64 version, I had some decent trouble unlocking Ness because Normal mode was difficult back then, however now mostly all the characters could be unlocked without ever having to go into anything past very easy mode (if I'm not mistaken). I'm fairly certain the game will allow for a good amount of time spent unlocking, especially with the SE
