Smash Ace
I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but all the requested third party characters are classics... with sequels that have lately been sucking more and more with each new release.
Snake- Nevermind, he's doin just fine...
Sonic- Since Sonic Adventure, I could've making better games than Sonic team. And yet they still seem to fly off the shelves.
Megaman- The Handheld ones have been pretty good, but every single 3D Megaman has sucked it hard.
Bomberman- Similar situation as Megaman, all of the Gamecube Bombermans were mediocre. Also seems to be slowly fading into oblivion.
Pac-Man- Hahaha. Pacman should never have left 8-bit. Other than being Namco's "Mascot"(and day by day, Heihachi gets closer to stealing this mantle), the poor yellow muncher hasn't served any real purpose other than to entertain us in old-school arcades.
Sorry to offend any of you, but let's face it. Other than Metal Gear Solid, the above characters aren't exactly what they used to be. I doubt an appearance in Brawl could make developers stop slacking off and producing games only good enough to get them paid, but could a third-party appearance by these characters help return them to their original glory?
Thoughts?
