Think there will be new animated shorts?

Sakurai's last game Kid Icarus Uprising had a few animated shorts on the 3DS' Nintendo Video app. They ranged from serious backstory to action setpieces to filler comedy. All of them can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQFOXGs6cXs, albeit in off-screen footage quality (only having them on NV was a pain).

So it just dawned on me, what about a new wave of shorts for SSB? With the huge array of Nintendo characters featured in SSB, practically anything could happen in them: shorts involving a single Nintendo franchise, crossovers between a few characters, or having the bulk of the cast all together.

The subject matter could range from a prologue or epilogue of SSE, go deeper into the "kid playing with his toys" backstory, something more simple & action oriented like a SSB tournement from the characters' pov, or something goofier like...oh IDK a short with Dr. Mario treating various strange illnesses of other fighters with equally strange treatments.

So does anyone think there should be new shorts? & more importantly, what do you want them to be about?

I want to see Nana ditch Popo for Dedede because he has a bigger hammer.
Popo goes to Ike for advice, who suggests that Popo train to get stronger and win her back.
Then Popo goes through a training montage with Lil Mac.
Popo swells to comedic proportions and carries around a hammer that's bigger than Dedede's hammer with only one arm. Nana rushes back to Popo but he pushes her away. Zero Suit Samus and Peach caress his big muscular arms, Mario can be seen in the background shoving pasta in his mouth while crying. Captain Falcon saunters in with Zelda on his back and Link can be seen in the background crying while drinking milk.

I'd love for this to happen, but Sakurai was so pissed about the SSE being uploaded we may never know

Sakurai said way back at E3 2013 that there will be animated shorts for all the Newcomers, and they'll be unlocked from the beginning.

Those are the Trailers, he means animated shorts like Palutena's revolting dinner that came out at Nintendo video on 3DS in order to advertise Kid Icarus Uprising.

I'd like to see them btw. Especially if they were like that Medusa short. Full of action and everything in anime style.
