ITT: Describe what kinds of characters you tend to gravitate towards (You can include other Smash games if you want, whatev) and the aspects you feel like a character needs to have in order for you to be comfortable with them.

Let me start off. I tend to prefer characters with:

-Unique or just overall good mobility

-Aerials that are both good for kills and for spacing

-An emphasis on edgeguards

-A good grab game (Techchases are great)

-A projectile with great utility

-Kill throws

-Less emphasis on grounded moves

I main Sheik in Melee, Ness in P:M, and Villager in Smash 4. Most of these apply to all three of those characters. They also explain why I struggle trying to play characters like P:M Lucas or Falco.

I'd say any character sporting a cape that looks like a cheap rug will suffice. At least if he has a sword he never uses.

Lol. But it depends on why you like melee. I love playing defensive zoning, disjointed and HARD hitting hitboxes, techchasing, and I absolutely love edgeguarding (and even it's counterpart, recovery). Big punishes and no incredible demand for finger speed. So I eventually found Ganon and have been taunting ever since.

I like a character where I can say "Hey, I want to be over there", and I can just be over there. That's why I like Sheik.
