Things to try and Avoid Doing as Falco

I've recently started using Falco a bit and I've gotten some of the basics down (shine cancel, pillaring, SHL, working on waveshine). Since I haven't had as much exposure with Falco, I was wondering if there might be some bad habits that surface when starting him or just tactics that probably won't work in a tournament match that I can try and avoid.

Too much pillaring, not enough lasering, not fast falling the dair after the shine in a pillar.
