We got Smash Run information.
We got Reggie and Iwata beating the crap out of eachother, in real life.
We got unique Miis. UNIQUE MIIS!!! Ya know the thing everyone said was impossible.
We got Palutena, one of the smog requested newcomers.
We got not a boring and bland Pac-Man, not a Ghostly Adventures Pac-Man. A Classic, and fun Pac-Man.
We basically got a Mr. Game & Watch confirmation.

And yet that isn't enough for you people.

I've seen a lot of people complaining about how they weren't satisfied, and that this E3 was bad.
Are you kidding me people?

We got 3 newcomers! THREE!!!

"But oh no! Miis are boring!"
Not from what I saw. From what I saw, Miis are fun to use, and will be different depending on your playstyle.

"*Insert Palutena complaint here.*"
She was coming. We all knew it. She was the most likely newcomer at this point.

"Pac-Man is a waste of a slot! We should have had another Namco character!"
You're forgetting Pac-Man is one of the most iconic game characters of all time. Would we really get Lloyd over him?
He deserved a slot, and he looks great. They took as much classic influence as they could (which kinda surprises me Namco), and we don't have any mention of Ghostly Adventures: Pac goes to High School.

Stop. Being. Greedy. People.

Look at what we have ahead of us. We have a great Smash Bros game, for two systems. One at home, and one on the go. Now we can play Smash wherever we are.

And it's not even like E3 is over! We still have 2 days of that Treehouse thing, where they WILL talk about Smash!
Most likely, we're gonna see a veteran!

So calm your butts down, enjoy what we have, and wait for more Smash news.

People are not happy because at this point they could add the entiere Nintendo cast it wouldn't change the fact that the game won't be enjoyable to play !
I don't care as much about content as the game itself. If I don't like playing it you can give me all my favorites characters it won't matter ! I love Sonic more than any other characters in the world, I love Ike, I love Deedeedee, I love all brawl's new comers and yet I much prefere to play melee instead (thanks god for Project M ... )

This is a perfect example of the first reason someone may be disappointed.
They are one of those overly competitive players.

You know, those people who say Smash 4 is "Brawl 2."

To me, it looks like a mix of Melee and Brawl, aka the perfect combination.
It will be fun to play with your friends, and competitively.

Also I'm not a competitive player. In fact I dislike almost every other fighting game.
I like melee physic. It makes me feel good while playing, I enjoy it.
The fact that It happens to be good for competitiveness has nothing to do with why I want it. I also like items and stupid stages.

I'm not convinced you get to decide who is overly competitive and who is not. Regardless, that isn't an argument against their position at all, it's merely you complaining that they don't enjoy the same things you do.

It doesn't look like a very balanced mix to me at all. You also don't get to declare that everyone will find it fun simply because you expect it to.

Oh my gosh. It would be so nice if people could voice their opinions without being negative or others interpreting it as such. People have things they want in a game. As long as the person with the issue is respectful about their wish and doesn't flame/curse/troll other people about it than an honest and open discussion is fine with me.

You beat me to making this. I quoted it before, and I'll quote it again...

I thought this was gonna be a rager thread about how the devs are so greedy and included characters like pac man for money from a deal with namco rather than include nintendo characters

then I saw the author xD

And when you double post, it's automatically twice as post

Anyways, I'm a casual and I'm not particularly impressed by the gameplay. Looks like Brawl 2.0.

One thing that people forget when they rant, is that this game is still in development. There'll still be tweaks to fix moves and possibly physics.
It's not brawl 2.0 I actually thought the matches went pretty fast (except GF)

Well, you know the main thing I'm happy about? I'm happy that Sakurai has continued to make a game that we all love and enjoy. It is this same game that continues to allow us to have a common ground around it and for places like smashboards to continue to operate and advertise tourney's that help us meet people who are into the game as much as we are.

Personally, I didn't like the E3 Tourney because of a FFA with items on only further pushes smash into the "Party game environment", but it was the grand final that had me hyped with Kirby vs ZZS. And getting to see some pro level footage and techniques. Further, some aesthetics about the game don't interest me such as the PPG like flying of the knock back, but I like that they put those in because in moments of heat, it's difficult for people to know when you're out of knockback.
Still, I'm happy with what's gone on so far since Sakurai said he'll patch what needs to be patched, so that already had me hype from the start with knowing that any new player of this game won't get hit with "Quit wasting your time with Wario and just play MK if you want to be good at this game." situations.

Lastly, I'm glad that they still aren't done. I bet you there is a team looking at all of the footage that was played during E3 to work and refine things within the game.

This thread is dumb. If you are mega hype about this game and can't wait to play it, awesome. Please share your excitement with others. However, those of us that were left a bit underwhelmed have a right to share our feelings about the event, too.
